CHANCHAGA 2027: ADP REPS CANDIDATE UNVEILS NEW STRATEGIC SCHEME TO EMPOWER YOUTH
Hon. Shehu Isah Usman, the Action Democratic Party (ADP) candidate for Chanchaga Federal Constituency in Niger State, has pledged to curb youth restiveness through a strategic, comprehensive Youth Empowerment scheme.
Speaking with journalists in Minna, Hon. Shehu explained that his proposed initiative is designed to help young people acquire sustainable skills, secure decent livelihoods, pursue higher education, and build thriving businesses.
He emphasized that the program will prioritize actionable areas, including modern skills development, digital opportunities, accessible funding, entrepreneurship, and purposeful community engagement.
“Our young people do not need politicians who only remember them during elections.
They need representation that understands their realities and works consistently to expand their opportunities,” Hon. Shehu declared.
If elected to the House of Representatives, the ADP candidate assured constituents that he would champion targeted legislative interventions and programs.
These efforts will actively link young individuals to vocational training, technology-driven sectors, creative enterprises, and sustainable trades aligned with the modern economy.
He also noted that financial hardships should not permanently block young people from academic or professional advancement, promising to make education a central pillar of his representation.
To scale the impact of these initiatives, Hon. Shehu plans to forge strategic partnerships with private organizations, development institutions, and relevant government agencies.
He expressed a strong commitment to backing small business owners who are currently held back by a lack of capital, networks, and market access.
He firmly argued that true youth empowerment must move past the superficial distribution of temporary items or one-off cash handouts.“Real empowerment is about giving people the capacity to stand on their own.
It is about skills, knowledge, access to opportunity, mentorship, markets, and the right environment to succeed,” he said.Concluding his address, Hon. Shehu urged the electorate of Chanchaga Federal Constituency to vote for a leader ready to deliver genuine developmental change.
“Our time is now. Our young people deserve a future they can believe in, and our representation must be bold enough to build it,” he stated.
